BEKI + WALTER WEDDING

LOS ANGELES COUNTY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY –  HILLTOP PARK-SIGNAL HILL

SATURDAY, MARCH 15, 2014 |  BEKI + WALTER WEDDING

On my drive to Cerritos to meet Beki, I thought, how luck was I meet and work with such a lovely, caring couple as Beki and Walter. The love they shared for each other was truly evident. I was honored to have the opportunity to photograph their lovely day.

We began at Beki’s best friends house as she was getting her hair and make up done by Jane Andaya . The dining room was filled with beautiful decorations and hand-made items for the wedding. Beki had her family, her best friend and three adorable flower girls all making sure she was pampered and feeling special.

The wedding was at the top of a beautiful park that had a 360 degree view of the city and was transformed into a magical, provincial hillside. Rustic flower baskets aligned the aisle while colorful linens and pillows allowed for the guests to breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the amazing views atop their picnic blankets.

During the ceremony Anna Okunev played the violin as gentle breezes enveloped all the guests. Jon Olson officiated the touching ceremony as Beki + Walter exchanged vows under the beautiful blue California sky.

Guests were treated to scrumptous picnic baskets filled with homemade baked breads, fruit sandwiches and refreshments by Olive Pit Mediterranean Grill and the lovely cupcake towers were created by Miss Priss Cupcakes

Beki, Walter, their family and their guests are the type of people you would want as your neighbors and best friends. We will always remember their special day and the hundreds of bubbles that lofted through the air as the reception came to a close and the sun began to set.

FIVE TIPS | IN HIRING A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

“Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.”  Don McCullin
  1. Hire your wedding photographer after securing your ceremony/reception date, many photographers book 1 year ahead

  2. Look for a style you want i.e. lighting, color, the look of the images… if you can’t picture yourself in their images, this is probably not your photographer

  3. Look for reviews and testimonials from prior clients

  4. Ask questions about the services, hours, products you are interested in

  5. Meet the photographer prior to hiring them, make sure it is a good fit for the both of you, you will be spending your entire wedding day with them
